Description
Ràmici is far more than just a wine; it is Leonardo Bussoletti’s premier Cru, the ultimate expression of a terroir deeply rooted in Umbrian history. Born in the municipality of Alviano, just steps from the banks of the Tiber River, this wine draws its soul from historic 45-year-old vineyards. Here, yields are pushed to the absolute minimum—a mere 300 to 400 grams of grapes per vine—to concentrate the purest essence of 100% Ciliegiolo in every single berry.
The altitude of 190 meters and the sandy nature of the soil bestow an aristocratic finesse upon every sip, while the river’s proximity ensures an ideal microclimate for slow, complex ripening. Each cluster is strictly hand-harvested and entrusted to spontaneous fermentation, respecting the grape’s wild and authentic identity.
The true magic, however, unfolds in the silence of the cellar. Ràmici undergoes a patient aging process lasting nearly three years: it first rests for 12 months in tonneaux, then evolves for another 12 months in large French oak barrels, finally completing its journey with a long refinement in the bottle.
The result? A rare and precious red, produced in a very limited run of only 2,500 to 3,300 bottles per year. A sensory experience dedicated to those seeking the elegance of a great Cru and the vibrant soul of a grape variety rediscovered with passion and devotion.
