Description
The Sagrantino “Campo di Raina” is a rich and multifaceted wine, the flagship red of the Umbrian winery. Francesco Mariani is a young winemaker with clear ideas, and after deciding in 2002 to take over Raìna, a winery named after the farmer who took care of the vineyards for years, he embarked on a replanting project aimed at promoting quality viticulture. To achieve this goal, chemical or synthetic products have been abandoned in the vineyard, while in the winery, spontaneous fermentations are carried out without any clarification or filtration.
