His Majesty King Charles, Prince of Wales opened the premises of the Penderyn Distillery on 1 March 2004 after more than 100 years of absence in the field of distillation throughout the country.
“Legend” is a single malt produced by a distillation system that is unique in the category of “single malts”, i.e. a single copper still composed of two separate distillation columns.
American oak barrels are used for its maturation with a peculiarity: the first phase it takes place in barrels used for Bourbon, the second in barriques used in the production of Madeira.
