Description
This wine is made from Pinot Noir clones introduced to the hills of Focara during the Napoleonic Empire. The unique characteristics of the soils and climate of this stretch of high coast overlooking the Adriatic Sea were considered by the French administration to be ideal conditions for the cultivation of this particular variety. The Mancini family has preserved these clones for five generations of winemakers, thus specializing in the production of fine Pinot Noir. The Rive Monte vineyard is vinified and bottled separately to represent the best expression of Pinot Noir grown on the cliffs of Focara, in the heart of the Monte San Bartolo Natural Park.
