Description
Martin Doorly was a merchant from Bridgetown, the capital of Barbados, who became a bottler in the early 1900s thanks to the Rum Duty Act; A law that forced distilleries to resell rum exclusively in barrels, prohibiting them from reselling it in containers smaller than 37 liters. He decided to create his own rum (Doorly’s Rum) which became the first rum in Barbados to be exported.
Distilled by Foursquare Distillery, Doorly’s 5 Anni is a dark rum obtained from the blend of rums distilled in single column and pot still column and which undergoes an aging of 5 years in barrels.
