This exceptional bottle originates from the estate’s finest single plot, affectionately named “Campo del Guardiano” (The Guardian’s Field) by generations of local farmers, honoring its historical and undisputed viticultural supremacy.
The blueprint for this masterpiece lies in a unique terroir: the vines thrive on east-facing hillsides rooted in sedimentary and clay soils enriched with precious volcanic inserts. This distinctive geological composition imparts an extraordinary character to the traditional grape varieties of Orvieto. The vinification process is meticulously designed to preserve this pristine raw material: whole clusters undergo a gentle, soft pressing, followed by a temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel. The wine then embarks on a patient refinement process in steel and for several months in the bottle before release.
